Heather graduated with a Bachelor of Oral health therapy with adult scope at the University of Newcastle NSW in 2022. She Joined Boulton dental immediately in November 2022. Heather always aspired to working in healthcare with her immediate family working within private hospital sectors. She was introduced to dentistry though a friend whose career was dental assisting. Intrigued by this sector of healthcare, she enrolled in the Bachelor of Oral Health therapy and never looked back. Her professional interests include periodontal disease treatment and management and paediatric oral health care. Heather keeps up to date with CPD courses, attending minimum 60hrs a year to keep up to date with the latest innovations in dentistry. She has attended courses in periodontics, implant management, local anaesthetic techniques, paediatric extractions, oral pathology identification, orthodontics and medicine within dentistry to name a few. Heather enjoys working for Boulton dental as multidisciplinary care is at the forefront of their practice. Boulton prides themselves on thorough examinations and comprehensive treatment planning. This ensures not only transparent high quality of care for patients but provides a constant learning environment to develop as a practitioner. Outside of the practice Heather enjoys spending time with her family, reading, theatre and the outdoors. She also holds an advanced Diploma of Tourism completed in 2008 and subsequently has a passion for travelling, having been to 21 counties and counting.
