BioClear Before and After
BioClear Before & After Smile Images
- Greying and yellowing of their teeth
- Chipping and mottling shades/colours throughout the enamel.
- Using the Bioclear method of injection moulding with 8 composite veneers.
- Old composite veneers that were starting to go yellow and staining.
- They were also very hard to clean with food trapping in between the teeth.
- 8 composite veneers were hand crafted using the Bioclear method of injection moulding with heated composite to replace the 6 old composite veneers with 8 new composite veneers.
- Chipping and discolouration of the old composite veneers.
- The lateral incisors being disproportionately smaller than the central incisors.
- 8 new composite veneers using the Bioclear method of injection moulding using heated composite resin to replace the old veneers.
- This patient had recently had composite veneers placed elsewhere and did not like the length, shape or the thickness.
- They also felt the colour was too matte in its finish.
- Inability to floss between some teeth (stuck together)
- Remove the existing composite veneers and then let the gums settle for 4 weeks due to the large amount of inflammation for the ill-fitting margins.
- Spaces in between the teeth and chipping that had started to occur.
- Using the Bioclear Method, composite resin the chipping and spaces were closed and the teeth lengthened to keep them from being too wide.
- Old composite veneers were worn, chipped and discoloured.
- When they smiled it was very dark down the back of the mouth.
- 8 Bioclear composite veneers where hand crafted to replace and old 6 composite veneers and build up the posterior part of the smile.
- The patient did not like the gap in between their lower teeth. Initially, this patient thought that the teeth had to be moved by orthodontics to close the space. Therefore had put this off for years due to not wanting to wear braces.
- This treatment was completed in 60 minutes by adding composite resin to the teeth either side of the gaps. This was done using the Bioclear matrix system. We were able to do this without using any local anaesthetic due to the treatment being purely ‘additive dentistry’.
- This patient has concerns about the gaps between their teeth.
- Chipping and unevenness.
- There was a peg lateral tooth on the left hand side and a missing lateral incisor on the right hand side.
- There was a combination of treatment with achieve this result.
- First the patient had 9 months of clear aligner orthodontic treatment to move the teeth into a better position.
- Then his bite was raised by 2mm with composite veneers using the Bioclear method of injection moulding with heated composite. On the same day the missing tooth was replaced with a porcelain Emax Maryland bridge made with the CEREC machine (same day crown machine). In this case the restorative phase of this patients treatment was done on the same day over two appointments.
- This patient was concerned about the extensive wear on the upper and lower teeth and the chipping of the old composite veneers.
- There is was also extensive wear on the posterior teeth.
- The treatment was completed over three consecutive days.
- On day one the 6 old upper composites veneers were replaced with 8 Bioclear
- On day two the lower 8 anterior teeth were built up with 8
- On day three the upper and lower posterior teeth were built up with composite. There is a 4mm change/or increase in the bite.
- The 4 anterior teeth had old composite veneers that were discoloured, uneven and rough.
- The treatment was to replace the 4 old composite veneers with new Bioclear composite veneers using heated composite and the injection moulding technique.
- This patient was concerned that their teeth were chipped and grey. Bleaching did not achieve the result the patient was after.
- They also did not like the recession around the gums.
- The treatment to correct this was 8 handcrafted Bioclear composite veneers using the injection moulding technique.
- The after photo is immediately post op on the day of completion due to the patient having to travel a distance so the gums have not healed in this final photo.
- This patient has a deciduous (baby) canine tooth that was initially very short compared to the adjacent teeth. It was also darker in colour and the tooth pointed towards the lip at the biting surface more than the area around the gum.
- There were several phases to this treatment (some which are not shown here). Some of the gum was removed (gingivectomy) around the tooth and make the crown appear longer. This had to heal for 6 weeks. Then the second phase was to reshape the tooth with a Bioclear composite veneer using the injection moulding technique with heated monolithic composite resin.
- This patient did not like the greyness of their teeth and the chipping.
- They also felt like the teeth were a little short due to the wear over the years.
- 6 Bioclear composite veneers where used to achieve this result.
- The patient had orthodontics as an adult.
- They did not like the gaps (black triangles) that resulted in between their teeth.
- Using the Bioclear black triangle kit the gaps were closed by injection moulding heated composite resin,
- This was completed over 1 appointment.
